ALL THE LATEST NEWS FROM ACROSS WEST YORKSHIRE
Latest News for Postponed Events
Hi everyone,
Hope you’re all well and, like us, looking forward to hopefully being able to start playing again in the not too distant future. Circumstances still remain uncertain at this time, but here’s a quick update on what we hope to be happening this year.
The IL event planned for April this year has now been cancelled and there are discussions on-going about its re-arrangement to later in the year. Once we get any further information we will of course let you know. In the meantime you can always contact our IL Secretary, Steve, with any questions etcand we will answer those best we can.
As for County & IL 2021, there is a hope that, based on the current predicted easing of lockdown restrictions, we may be looking at starting some resemblance of events around the middle of the year. Exactly what it’s going to look like depends on several factors as we’re sure you can appreciate. We will of course work closely with all concerned to ease any concerns whilst getting back to as near normal as possible. The health and well-being of our players is paramount and we expect everyone to help achieve a safe environment, and be understanding of the concerns of those around them. It still remains a team effort, as it always has been here in West Yorkshire.
The Captains of the County teams will be contacting all of the players who were on the squad at the last match to confirm who still wants to be on the Squad. It has already been agreed that the same players will start once we get going.
Please keep an eye on the website for further updates, if you have any queries you can contact us by email or via the FB group.
With regards

AGM Announcement (December 2020)
Hi Everyone
Hope you all had a good Christmas, and are looking forward to a much improved 2021. Just thought we would share some news with you regarding fees etc for 2021 following the West Yorkshire County Pool Association AGM held earlier this month.
Questions were asked in recent months about what was happening to fees and monies paid in 2020 and whether they would be carried over to 2021. It was difficult to answer that until we had further information from Region 2 and the EPA, but we can now announce that up to a maximum cost of £8 per person, any 2020 registered player is entitled to register for free in 2021. This is because WYCPA can fund £5, and Region 2 can add £3 towards any charges from the EPA. Further, it was agreed that any league or Interleague team who affiliated/registered in 2020 would also have their 2020 fees carried over to next year. Relevant league, Interleague and player registration forms still need to be completed please to ensure up to date information is recorded, but unless you are a new league, Interleague team or player, there will be no additional payments due in 2021.
For information, the AGM also agreed to keep the level of fees for 2021 the same as 2020 was, so for leagues the affiliation fee is £50 and entry in to the Interleague structure is £50 per team. Player registration fees are £12 per adult, £6 for juniors (free for youth county players) and anyone who wants a card for competition entry only will pay £20.
We await further developments regarding any pool in 2021, but meanwhile, stay safe and we hope to see you all soon.
